This study develops a sugar‐armored, self‐assembled pesticide delivery system that enhances foliar adhesion, provides sustained release, effectively disrupts biofilms, and demonstrates superior bactericidal activity for improved disease control.

Linking xylem hydraulic conductivity and vulnerability to the leaf economics spectrum--a cross-species study of 39 evergreen and deciduous broadleaved subtropical tree species. [PDF]
While the fundamental trade-off in leaf traits related to carbon capture as described by the leaf economics spectrum is well-established among plant species, the relationship of the leaf economics spectrum to stem hydraulics is much less known.

Increasing stomatal conductance in response to rising atmospheric CO2 [PDF]
Studies have indicated that plant stomatal conductance (gs) decreases in response to elevated atmospheric CO2, a phenomenon of significance for the global hydrological cycle. However, gs increases across certain CO2 ranges have been predicted by optimization models. The aim of this work was to demonstrate that under certain environmental conditions, gs

Effects of Ground Level Ozone on Vegetation [PDF]
All the experiments conducted in this project use ozone exposures that either are already currently occurring or are expected to occur over UK uplands this century, if predictions of increasing „background‟ ozone exposure are correct.

A novel root‐shoot‐root signaling relay, mediated by CLE peptides, coordinates drought adaptation in common bean. Root‐derived PvCLE11b translocates acropetally to leaves, inducing PvCLE16 expression via PvTCP10. Leaf‐accumulated PvCLE16 triggers stomatal closure and translocates basipetally to modulate root architecture.

Forest response and recovery following disturbance in upland forests of the Atlantic Coastal Plain
Carbon and water cycling of forests contribute significantly to the Earth’s overall biogeochemical cycling and may be affected by disturbance and climate change.

ABSTRACT Background Robot‐assisted rectal surgery (RAS) offers improved dexterity and visualization; however, the high cost of equipment and consumables remains a major challenge for hospital management. At our institution, we have adopted a combined approach using transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) for lower rectal cancers, aiming to shorten ...

SIMULATING OZONE EFFECTS ON FOREST PRODUCTIVITY: INTERACTIONS AMONG LEAF‐, CANOPY‐, AND STAND‐LEVEL PROCESSES [PDF]
Ozone pollution in the lower atmosphere is known to have adverse effects on forest vegetation, but the degree to which mature forests are impacted has been very difficult to assess directly.

Genetic variation in circadian regulation of nocturnal stomatal conductance enhances carbon assimilation and growth [PDF]
Circadian resonance, whereby a plant's endogenous rhythms are tuned to match environmental cues, has been repeatedly shown to be adaptive, although the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.

This study evaluated the impact of distal resection margin (DRM) length on recurrence in 208 patients undergoing surgery for rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Our findings demonstrate that while oncological safety must unquestionably remain the top priority, a short pathological DRM (< 10 mm) does not increase recurrence risk when R0 resection is ...
