A New Stopping Sight Distance Model and Fuzzy Reliability Analysis Comparison
Aiming at the problem that the existing stopping sight distance model is out of sync with the development of the times, this paper puts forward a new stopping sight distance model considering the fuzziness and randomness of design parameters, and deduces

Causal role for the subthalamic nucleus in interrupting behavior
Stopping or pausing in response to threats, conflicting information, or surprise is fundamental to behavior. Evidence across species has shown that the subthalamic nucleus (STN) is activated by scenarios involving stopping or pausing, yet evidence that ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Stopping Power and Partial Stopping Power Effective Charge in The Plasma
The energy losses of ions moving in an electron gas can be studied through the stopping power of the medium. A large number of calculations of the stopping power of ions and electrons in plasmas have been carried out using the random phase approximation (

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

EEG Correlates of Active Stopping and Preparation for Stopping in Chronic Tic Disorder
Motor inhibition is an important cognitive process involved in tic suppression. As the right frontal lobe contains important inhibitory network nodes, we characterized right superior, middle, and inferior frontal gyral (RSFG, RMFG, RIFG) event-related ...

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.
