Fixed-target serial oscillation crystallography at room temperature
A fixed-target approach to high-throughput room-temperature serial synchrotron crystallography with oscillation is described. Patterned silicon chips with microwells provide high crystal-loading density with an extremely high hit rate.

Microcalorimeters for X-Ray Spectroscopy of Highly Charged Ions at Storage Rings
X-ray spectroscopy of highly charged heavy ions is an important tool for the investigation of many topics in atomic physics. Such highly charged ions, in particular hydrogen-like uranium, are investigated at heavy ion storage rings, where high charge ...

The Potential for Neutrino Physics at Muon Colliders and Dedicated High Current Muon Storage Rings [PDF]
Conceptual design studies are underway for muon colliders and other high-current muon storage rings that have the potential to become the first true ``neutrino factories''.

Storage Rings For Nuclear Physics [PDF]
Abstract Although still a relatively new development, exploitation of the technology of storage rings has been playing an increasing role in the field of nuclear science. These few remarks present a subjective view of some of the progress and problems in this ring application.

Tau neutrinos from muon storage rings [PDF]
Charged tau leptons emerging in a long baseline experiment with a muon storage ring and a far-away detector will positively establish neutrino oscillations.

Spin tune mapping as a novel tool to probe the spin dynamics in storage rings [PDF]
Precision experiments, such as the search for electric dipole moments of charged particles using storage rings, demand for an understanding of the spin dynamics with unprecedented accuracy.

EDM Experiments at Storage Rings
According to our present understanding, the early Universe contained the same amount of matter and anti-matter and, if the Universe had behaved symmetrically as it developed, every particle would have been annihilated by one of its antiparticles.

Towards storage rings as quantum computers
We explore the possible use of particle beam storage rings as quantum computers. More precisely, we consider creating an ion trap system, in which the same computational basis states can be defined as in a modern ion trap system, but in which the ions ...

Search for electric dipole moments at storage rings [PDF]
Permanent electric dipole moments (EDMs) violate parity and time reversal symmetry. Within the Standard Model (SM) they are many orders of magnitude below present experimental sensitivity.
