Grain storage and insect pests of stored grain in rural Niger
Journal of Stored Products Research, 2015Abstract We surveyed 1293 farmers and traders in southern Niger to learn about their grain storage practices and their views on the storage pest problem. We identified the insect species found in samples obtained from 40 localities in three regions of the country.

2018Once cereal grain is harvested and put into storage, it provides a resource for a range of insect pests of stored grain. With few exceptions, these insects rarely attack grain in the field before harvest, but once the grain is in storage there is a degree of inevitability that insect infestation will occur.
