Forged Straight Bevel Gears - An Overview
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1983<div class="htmlview paragraph">Over the past twenty years a number of companies have developed proprietary processes for forging net shape straight bevel gears. The inherent complexity of bevel gear geometry requires tight process control to forge gears which require no further machining on the teeth.

On Abrasive Flow Finishing of Straight Bevel Gear
2021Abrasive flow finishing (AFF) is a non-traditional nano-finishing process for radiusing, polishing, surface stress reliving, geometry optimization and deburring. This paper reports on finishing of straight bevel gear by using AFF. Experimental setup of AFF and a special fixture for holding workpiece straight bevel gear were developed.

Surface Geometry of Straight and Spiral Bevel Gears
Journal of Mechanisms, Transmissions, and Automation in Design, 1987The fundamental geometrical characteristics of bevel gears have been discussed in this study. The mathematical modeling of the tooth surface geometry of bevel gears can be developed based on the basic gearing kinematics and involute geometry along with the tangent planes geometry.

The design of the 3D model of straight bevel gear
2011 International Conference on New Technology of Agricultural, 2011In this paper, a parameters model of bevel gear often used in machinery industry is established at first. In the model the associated relationship of parameters is expressed. Then, the process of 3D modeling of bevel gear is described in an example. By the establishment a designer can conveniently design a bevel gear.

Automation of Technological Preproduction of Straight Bevel Gears
2020The paper describes an approach to the automated technological preparation for production of straight bevel gears with the localized contact. The flank of the driven gear is a conical involute surface. The contact localization in the gear is achieved by using the modified conical involute surface for the driving gear flank.
