The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Evaluation of single strain gauges and double strain gauges / Norhidayah Husin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper describe about the evaluation between single strain gauges and double strain gauges. Besides that, to compare the accuracy between 5mm types of strain gauges and 8mm of strain gauges. The accuracy between single strain gauges and double strain

Experimental Study on Bending Moment of Double-Row Steel Pipe Piles in Foundation Excavation

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
Double-row steel pipe piles have been widely used in retaining and protection of foundation excavation because of the advantages of high bearing capacity, high flexural rigidity, fast construction speed, and so on.

Thin film sensors for measuring small forces [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sensors and Sensor Systems, 2015
Especially in the case of measuring small forces, the use of conventional foil strain gauges is limited. The measurement uncertainty rises by force shunts and is due to the polymer foils used, as they are susceptible to moisture.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Tooth-Inspired Tactile Sensor for Detection of Multidirectional Force

open access: yesMicromachines, 2018
The anatomy of a tooth was the inspiration for this tactile sensor study. The sensor consisted of a pole that was fixed in the middle of an acrylic base using a viscoelastic silicone elastomer. Four strain gauges were fixed three-dimensionally around the

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Hysteresis and Material Effects of Printed Strain Gauges Embedded in Organic Coatings

open access: yesProceedings, 2017
This work reports on the hysteresis behavior and an initial baseline drift of printed strain gauges embedded in organic coating layers on sheet steel that we recently introduced.

Temperature and Strain Correlation of Bridge Parallel Structure Based on Vibrating Wire Strain Sensor

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Deformation is a ubiquitous phenomenon in nature. This process usually refers to the change in shape, size, and position of an object in the time and spatial domain under various loads.
