Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Strain-Rate and Stress-Rate Models of Nonlinear Viscoelastic Materials

open access: yesMathematics
The paper is devoted to the modeling of nonlinear viscoelastic materials. The constitutive equations are considered in differential form via relations between strain, stress, and their derivatives in the Lagrangian description.

High strain rate behaviour of polypropylene microfoams

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
Microcellular materials such as polypropylene foams are often used in protective applications and passive safety for packaging (electronic components, aeronautical structures, food, etc.) or personal safety (helmets, knee-pads, etc.).

Perga under compressive loading [PDF]

open access: yesJournal on Processing and Energy in Agriculture, 2017
Paper dealt with the experimental testing of the perga cylinder samples at the compressive loading in the longitudinal direction. The perga is bee product and it represents the material created from the bee pollen by means of the lactic fermetation ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Strain Rate-Dependent Compressive Deformation Behavior of Nd-Based Bulk Metallic Glass

open access: yes, 2005
Compressive deformation behavior of the Nd60Fe20Co10Al10 bulk metallic glass was characterized over a wide strain rate range (6.0 x 10(-4) to 1.0x10(3) s(-1)) at room temperature.

Strain rate and temperature dependence of Omori law scaling constants of AE data: Implications for earthquake foreshock-aftershock sequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Little is known about the temperature and strain rate dependence of acoustic emission AE activity (AE). Hence, we carried out a preliminary series of flow-through triaxial compression tests on porous sandstones at different temperatures and strain rates.

An experimental study on the strain-rate-dependent compressive and tensile response of an alumina ceramic

open access: yes, 2022
This research article studied the strain-rate-dependent mechanical response of a CeramTec Alotec 98% alumina ceramic under uniaxial compression and indirect tension loadings.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Use of strain, strain rate, tissue velocity imaging, and endothelial function for early detection of cardiovascular involvement in patients with beta-thalassemia

open access: yesAnnals of Pediatric Cardiology, 2017
Background: Global ventricular function often remains normal in patients with beta-thalassemia major. (β-TM) until late. Tissue Doppler and strain imaging may be useful to assess regional myocardial function abnormalities in these patients.
