This study identifies a functional noncoding variant, rs112651172 (C/G), that drives allele‐specific expression of PAXIP1‐AS1 in monozygotic twin pairs discordant for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The risk G allele enhances CEBPB binding, leading to lncRNA upregulation, CNTNAP3 derepression, and synaptic and behavioral deficits in mice.

Comment on ``Strangeness enhancement in $p+A$ and S$+A$ interactions at energies near 200 $A$ GeV" [PDF]
We argue that the recent analysis of strangeness production in nuclear collisions at 200 $A$ GeV/$c$ performed by Topor Pop {\it et al.} \cite{To:95} is flawed.

In order to survive life’s traumatic experiences, we tend to push them to one side in our quest for survival. My experience of surgery for epilepsy certainly comes into this category. My epilepsy is long-standing and dates back to midadolescence. The seizures have remained largely intractable to medical treatment and it was only with the advent of ...

Row Crops and the U.S. Agricultural Trade Deficit: Recent Trends and Policy Issues
ABSTRACT Row crops such as soybeans, corn, wheat, and cotton are the backbone of the U.S. farm sector, accounting for around $60 billion of exports in 2023. While U.S. row crop exports remain robust, growing concerns over the rising U.S. agricultural trade deficit underscore the need to appraise the ongoing market and policy dynamics affecting the ...

Review of the Challenges and Prospects in Agrivoltaics
This articles reviews the recent prospects of agri‐photovoltaics (agri‐PV) across continents. The existing standards and pilot projects to standardize new codes and regulations are discussed. The state‐of‐the‐art agri‐PV scheme's benefits and lackings are presented. Community acceptance and policy barriers are also discussed where prospective solutions

Scalar strangeness content of the nucleon and baryon sigma terms [PDF]
The scalar strangeness content of the nucleon, characterized by the so-called strangeness-nucleon sigma term, is of fundamental importance in understanding its sea-quark flavor structure.

Ethnographic Perspectives in Sport Science in Germany—Status Quo and Developmental Potentials
The question of the significance and importance of ethnographic approaches within the German-speaking sports sciences could briefly be answered with a "negative report", if one is interested in having a look at studies that are explicitly accounted as ...

Strangeness enhancements at central rapidity in 40 A GeV/c Pb-Pb collisions
Results are presented on neutral kaon, hyperon and antihyperon production in Pb-Pb and p-Be interactions at 40 GeV/c per nucleon. The enhancement pattern follows the same hierarchy as seen in the higher energy data - the enhancement increases with the ...
