Strangeness, Equilibration, Hadronization [PDF]
In these remarks I explain the motivation which leads us to consider chemical nonequilibrium processes in flavor equilibration and in statistical hadroniziation of quark--gluon plasma (QGP). Statistical hadronization allowing for chemical non-equilibrium

Characteristics of Cerebral Palsy in the Midwestern US
ABSTRACT Objective Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common lifelong motor disability worldwide. Yet, data is limited on how CP manifests in the US. Our objective was to characterize and determine factors affecting functional outcomes in a large population of young people with CP in the Midwestern US.

Strangeness Production in Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions at SIS Energies
Simulating Many Accelerated Strongly-interacting Hadrons (SMASH) is a new hadronic transport approach designed to describe the non-equilibrium evolution of heavy-ion collisions.

Entering the Strong Coupling Regime in Conventional Organic Solar Cells
Organic solar cells convert light into fossil‐free energy, yet they still cannot compete with their silicon counterparts. Strong exciton‐photon coupling can ameliorate some properties of organic solar cells, but it requires additional mirrors that diminish light absorbance. Here, mirror‐free strong exciton‐photon coupling is implemented in conventional

Parity violating target asymmetry in electron - proton scattering [PDF]
We analyze the parity-violating (PV) components of the analyzing power in elastic electron-proton scattering and discuss their sensitivity to the strange quark contributions to the proton weak form factors.

Architected Soft Actuators for Artificial Musculoskeletal Systems
An architected soft actuator uses a servo motor and a combination of 3D printed architected elastomers to extend and contract. The actuator exhibits high actuation stroke, force output, and power density for constructing bioinspired artificial musculoskeletal systems.

Strange results from chiral soliton models
The standard collective quantization treatment of the strangeness content of the nucleon in chiral soliton models such as the Skyrmion is shown to be inconsistent with the semi-classical expansion on which the treatment is based.

Reply to Comment of Gazdzicki and Heinz on Strangeness Enhancement in $p+A$ and $S+A$ [PDF]
The Comment of Gazdzicki and Heinz is flawed because their assumed baryon stopping power in $pA$ is inconsistent with data and because they ignored half the analysis based on the VENUS model.

From Strange Stars to Strange Dwarfs [PDF]
We determine all possible equilibrium sequences of compact strange-matter stars with nuclear crusts, which range from massive strange stars to strange white dwarf{endash}like objects (strange dwarfs). The properties of such stars are compared with those of their nonstrange counterparts{emdash}neutron stars and ordinary white dwarfs.
