An Analysis of Minutiae Matching Strength
2001In recent years there has been exponential growth in the use of biometrics for user authentication applications because biometrics-based authentication offers several advantages over knowledge and possession-based methods such as password/PIN-based systems.

An experimental analysis of the strength of the taper joint
Technology and Health Care, 2016BACKGROUND: The strength of the taper joint plays a vital role in orthopedics which takes the full load of our body. Till date various techniques has been used for the stem manufacturing and an alternative to all those has been presented in the article.

A discretizing approach for stress/strength analysis
IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1996This paper implements and evaluates a discretizing approach for estimating the reliability of systems for which complex functions define strength or stress and where the derivation of reliability exceed analytic techniques. The discretizing approach predicts system reliability with reasonably high accuracy.

Analysis of Bone-Composite Interfacial Strengths
Biomaterials, Medical Devices, and Artificial Organs, 1981The strength characteristics of the interface between bone and a bone/porous metal composite were analyzed. The metal was 316L stainless steel. The average tensile strength of bone spicules ingrown to the porous metal was 46.5 MPa. This compares to a control bone sample strength of 89.7 MPa.

Primer: strengths and weaknesses of meta-analysis
Nature Clinical Practice Rheumatology, 2008Properly conducted meta-analyses that are based on systematic reviews of the literature allow the conclusive synthesis of accumulating scientific evidence. Systematic reviews, with or without meta-analyses, offer a more objective appraisal of the available evidence compared with traditional narrative reviews.

Multivariate Analysis in the Maximum Strength Performance
International Journal of Sports Medicine, 2012This study performed an exploratory analysis of the anthropometrical and morphological muscle variables related to the one-repetition maximum (1RM) performance. In addition, the capacity of these variables to predict the force production was analyzed.

Simplified Strength Analysis of Jack-Ups
Southeast Asia Show, 1984ABSTRACT New challenges are posed on structural analysis of jack-ups when moving to deeper water, more harsh environment and application high tensile steel. Dynamic behaviour becomes more prevailing and fatigue due to wave loads may become governing.

Ultimate Strength Analysis of Stub Girders
Journal of Structural Engineering, 1995This paper is on the determination of the ultimate load-carrying capacity of stub girders. Two different methods are presented for this purpose. In the first method, the stub girder is modeled as a vierendeel truss girder. Based on an assumed collapse mechanism, shear force distribution between the top and bottom chords proportioned according to the ...

A Cluster Analysis of Static Strength Tests
Research Quarterly. American Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, 1968Abstract Ages, heights, weights, and 24 static (cable tensiometer) strength test scores were obtained from 81 college men enrolled in service course classes at the University of Oregon during the 1963–64 academic year. Of the 276 intercorrelations between strength scores, 215 were significant (p > .01; r ≥ .285).
