Stress-driven modeling of nonlocal thermoelastic behavior of nanobeams [PDF]
A consistent stress-driven nonlocal integral model for nonisothermal structural analysis of elastic nano- and microbeams is proposed. Most nonlocal models of literature are strain-driven and it was shown that such approaches can lead toward a number of difficulties.

A stress-driven local-nonlocal mixture model for Timoshenko nano-beams [PDF]
A well-posed stress-driven mixture is proposed for Timoshenko nano-beams. The model is a convex combination of local and nonlocal phases and circumvents some problems of ill-posedness emerged in strain-driven Eringen-like formulations for structures of nanotechnological interest.

Size Effect on the Axisymmetric Vibrational Response of Functionally Graded Circular Nano-Plate Based on the Nonlocal Stress-Driven Method [PDF]
In this work, the axisymmetric-vibrational behavior of a size-dependent circular nano-plate with functionally graded material with different types of boundary conditions was investigated.

A Unified Model for Stress-Driven Rearrangement Instabilities [PDF]
AbstractA variational model to simultaneously treat Stress-Driven Rearrangement Instabilities, such as boundary discontinuities, internal cracks, external filaments, edge delamination, wetting, and brittle fractures, is introduced. The model is characterized by an energy displaying both elastic and surface terms, and allows for a unified treatment of a

Macroscopic modelling of stress driven anisotropic growth in bioengineered tissues [PDF]
AbstractWithin this contribution we present a new approach to macroscopically describe stress‐driven volumetric growth occurring in soft tissues. To overcome the limitations of an a‐priori prescribed structure of the growth tensor, the existence of a general growth potential is postulated.

Reconsideration of wind stress, wind waves, and turbulence in simulating wind-driven currents of shallow lakes in the Wave and Current Coupled Model (WCCM) version 1.0 [PDF]
Wind stress, wind waves, and turbulence are essential variables and play a critical role in regulating a series of physical and biogeochemical processes in large shallow lakes.

Local–nonlocal stress-driven model for multi-cracked nanobeams
Exact closed-form solutions for multi-cracked Euler-Bernoulli nanobeams are provided by proposing two equivalent approaches. The considered multicracked nanobeams are modeled with a well-posed local-nonlocal stress-driven model and contain an arbitrary number n of isolated damaged cross sections.
