dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Early Warning Model of Pipeline Stress State Based on Axial Stress Monitoring Data

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
To manage the stress state of the pipeline in real time and take timely targeted measures, stress monitoring measures are usually taken for pipelines that are prone to displacement deformation.

Deformability parameters for forming the stress-strain state models of rock massif [PDF]

open access: yesMining and Metallurgy Engineering Bor, 2013
This paper describes the principle of development the structural models of rocks, based on which the geomechanical model rock massif is developed, to which the applied numerical methods of stress analysis can be applied in solving the practical problems ...

Stress-strain state of elastomeric vibroseismic insulators

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2021
Abstract A method for solving problems of viscoelastic deformation of structures made of weakly-compressible elastomers, based on the application of the hereditary Boltzmann-Volterra theory, is considered. To consider the weak compressibility and eliminate the “false shift” effect, the moment scheme of the finite element is used.

Microglial dynamics and ferroptosis induction in human iPSC‐derived neuron–astrocyte–microglia tri‐cultures

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

Plastic dislocation and incompatibility density as indicators for residual stresses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Residual stresses in forming simulations are typically investigated by analyzing the remaining stress state after removing all external loadings. However, the generation of the stress state during forming remains unknown.

Plasticity-Induced Anisotropy in Amorphous Solids: the Bauschinger Effect

open access: yes, 2010
Amorphous solids that underwent a strain in one direction such that they responded in a plastic manner `remember' that direction also when relaxed back to a state with zero mean stress.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Finite element modelling of contact interaction between wheel and rail with three-layered thin coating [PDF]

open access: yesTransport Problems, 2010
The stress-strain of thin multilayered coatings covered the surface of the rail is studied near the region of side contact in turning motion. The stress-strain state is studied for various geometric and mechanical coating parameters’ values.
