The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Stress Path Dependence of Mechanical Properties of Saturated Soft Loess and its Simulation
[Purposes] The saturated soft loess formed by the rise of groundwater level is mostly in a soft plastic and flow plastic state, with engineering geological characteristics of high water content, high compression, and low bearing capacity.

Deformability parameters for forming the stress-strain state models of rock massif [PDF]
This paper describes the principle of development the structural models of rocks, based on which the geomechanical model rock massif is developed, to which the applied numerical methods of stress analysis can be applied in solving the practical problems ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Modelling plasticity of unsaturated soils in a thermodynamically consistent framework [PDF]
Constitutive equations of unsaturated soils are often derived in a thermodynamically consistent framework through the use a unique 'effective' interstitial pressure. This later is naturally chosen as the space averaged interstitial pressure.

Stress-strain state of concrete element with damage
Problem statement. At present, it is relevant to determine the technical condition of structures and their strengthening as needed. Damage of structures affects the process of determining the physical and mechanical characteristics of concrete structures. Purpose.

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Correlations Between Metallurgical Characterization Studies, Exploratory Mechanical Tests, and Continuum Mechanics Approaches to Constitutive Equations [PDF]
Austenitic stainless steels, such as types 316 and 304, are widely used as pressure vessel materials in the temperature range of 425 to 650 C. Stainless steel specimens were tested to rupture at two different stress levels sigma and sigma 2 sigma 1 sigma
