Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

The McCance Brain Care Score and Mortality: Evidence From a Large‐Scale Population‐Based Cohort
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aimed to examine the relationship between the McCance Brain Care Score (BCS) and mortality in the general population. Methods We conducted a prospective, population‐based cohort study using data from the UK Biobank. Participants with complete data enabling calculation of BCS and full mortality information were included ...

Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and

Thermoelastic stress concentrations.
Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1966Abstract : Thermal stress concentration factors were determined for rectangular flat plates, some of which were penetrated by holes and some which had filleted width changes. The experimental data indicate that the thermal stress concentration factors would be less than tension stress concentration factors for the same bars.

Abstract This chapter considers the concentration of stress around a circular hole in a large plate. The two canonical problems of far-field radial loading and far-field tension are considered in detail. For both cases, cylindrical coordinates are employed to develop the solutions.

Stress concentrations induced by flow
Cardiovascular Research, 1972Flow through gelatin-agar tubes produced birefringence at local concentrations of mechanical stresses. The number of fringes varied with stream velocity. Stresses were maximal at valve roots, the downstream ends of stenoses, and on the inner walls of the test channels. The method facilitates the study of wall stress.

Acute Stress Improves Concentration Performance.
Experimental psychology, 2020Acute stress can have both detrimental and beneficial effects on cognitive processing, but effects on concentration performance remain unclear. Here, we investigate the effects of acute psychosocial stress on concentration performance and possible underlying physiological and psychological mechanisms.

Inhomogeneities of Minimum Stress Concentration
Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids, 2004The problem of finding the shape of an elastic inhomogeneity that minimizes stress concentration is investigated. A class of ellipsoidal inhomogeneities is identified that serve as minimizers for inclusions which aie softer than the matnx. For hard inclusions, strain minnnimzing ellipsoidal inhormogeneilies are described.

Stress concentration in an elastic body may be caused mainly by the two-mechanisms i.e., concentrated forces acting to a body and geometrical discontinuities of a body such as holes or abrupt change of its surface geometry. The local stress increase induced by stress concentration sometimes causes the initiation of a fatigue crack in a structure, which

Stress Concentration in Concrete
Nature, 1964IN carrying out some experimental work in the torsion of hollow concrete box beams, the authors were surprised to discover that the size of the fillet radius at the internal corners has little or no effect on the strength of the section. That is to say that in practice, although not in theory, there was no measurable stress concentration effect.
