In this paper, the stress concentration factors (SCFs) in tubular T/Y-joints reinforced with fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) are investigated. A total of 134 3-D FE models was generated and analyzed under compressive load.

Thermoelastic stress concentrations.
Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1966Abstract : Thermal stress concentration factors were determined for rectangular flat plates, some of which were penetrated by holes and some which had filleted width changes. The experimental data indicate that the thermal stress concentration factors would be less than tension stress concentration factors for the same bars.

Abstract This chapter considers the concentration of stress around a circular hole in a large plate. The two canonical problems of far-field radial loading and far-field tension are considered in detail. For both cases, cylindrical coordinates are employed to develop the solutions.

A review of stress concentration studies on fibre composite panels with holes/cutouts
, 2020Composite panels are widely used as structural members due to their high strength-to-weight ratio. In order to reduce further weight, cutouts or notches are introduced in these members.
