Description of Polymer and Composite Hardening During Tensile Tests

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 1992
Tensile stress-strain curves of plastics and polymer composites are prepared and analyzed, the effects of temperature, water diffusion, heat treatment and notches being taken into account.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

MODELING OF TEAMWORK OF CONSTRUCTION AND THE BASETAKING INTO ACCOUNT CONSTRUCTION ESCALATING

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings, 2011
The model "design-foundation-basis" in the form of the two-layer beam which bottom layer corresponds to the foundation, and top - designs with the corresponding resulted characteristics are developed.

Calculation of composite elements of slabs in buildings, structures and fragments of spans of bridges

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The calculation consists of two stages. The first one begins with the definition of their class, bearing capacity at temperature of 20 °C, according to EN 1992-1-1.

Assessment of thermal stress risk in mass concrete elements: use of expedited diagrams [PDF]

open access: yesRevista IBRACON de Estruturas e Materiais
Large structural elements have been commonly observed in increasingly tall buildings, employing mass concrete elements in their foundations. In these elements, the internal heat generated by the cement hydration can be decisive for the occurrence of ...

Fracture–Mechanical Assessment of the Effect of Defects on the Fatigue Lifetime and Limit in Cast and Additively Manufactured Aluminum–Silicon Alloys from HCF to VHCF Regime

open access: yesMetals, 2020
Aluminum–silicon alloys are commonly used in die-cast and additively manufactured (AM) light-weight components due to their good processability and high strength-to-weight ratio.

Manufacturing of Composites by Pressure Infiltration, Structure and Mechanical Properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents the possibility of composite block production by using pressure infiltration technology. This method uses the pressure of an inert gas (usually argon or nitrogen) to force the melted matrix material to infiltrate the reinforcing ...

Elastic response of the electron fluid in intrinsic graphene: The collisionless regime [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The elastic response of an electron fluid at finite frequencies is defined by the electron viscosity $\eta(\omega)$. We determine $\eta(\omega)$ for graphene at the charge neutrality point in the collisionless regime, including the leading corrections ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Cylic Stress-Strain Diagram of Non-Woven Fabrics

open access: yesJournal of the Textile Machinary Society, 1965
