Calculation of composite elements of slabs in buildings, structures and fragments of spans of bridges

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The calculation consists of two stages. The first one begins with the definition of their class, bearing capacity at temperature of 20 °C, according to EN 1992-1-1.

Assessment of thermal stress risk in mass concrete elements: use of expedited diagrams [PDF]

open access: yesRevista IBRACON de Estruturas e Materiais
Large structural elements have been commonly observed in increasingly tall buildings, employing mass concrete elements in their foundations. In these elements, the internal heat generated by the cement hydration can be decisive for the occurrence of ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Fracture–Mechanical Assessment of the Effect of Defects on the Fatigue Lifetime and Limit in Cast and Additively Manufactured Aluminum–Silicon Alloys from HCF to VHCF Regime

open access: yesMetals, 2020
Aluminum–silicon alloys are commonly used in die-cast and additively manufactured (AM) light-weight components due to their good processability and high strength-to-weight ratio.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

On a Stress-Strain Diagram of Repeated Load Test

open access: yesThe Journal of the Japan Institute of Metals, 1937
On a stress-strain diagram obtained by repeated load tests, the following conclusions were drawn:- (1). Mechanical properties of test materials, such as yielding point, breaking stress, etc. can not directly be determined by loaddeformation diagram or an outer moment-angle diagram as in the case of statical test. (2).

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Elasticidade, plasticidade, histerese... e ondas

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

A general purposed machine learning interatomic potential for Mg-Al-Si-O system suitable for Earth materials at high pressure and temperature conditions

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials
Accurate phase diagrams and thermodynamic properties of Earth materials are essential for advancing geophysical, geodynamical and geological studies. Apart from experiment, atomistic simulations, particularly molecular dynamics, can be used to obtain ...
