Effects of stress on memory process in a passive avoidance paradigm
Stress can cause changes in cognitive function, mainly depending on the characteristics of the stressors and the tasks used. We armed whether some stressors, acutely or repeatedly given to mice, can impact memory.

Distinct cortisol effects on item and associative memory across memory phases
Our daily lives are filled with stressful situations, which powerfully shape the way we form, consolidate, and retrieve episodic memories. As such, stress hormones affect different memory phases of both individual items and their associations, whether ...

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.
