Impulsive Stretching of a Surface in a Viscous Fluid [PDF]
Summary: The induced transient viscous flow due to a suddenly stretched surface is studied. After a similarity transform, the unsteady Navier-Stokes equations are solved by several methods, including perturbation for small times, numerical integration, and asymptotic analysis for large times.

3D‐Printed Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors Based on Self Compliant Springs
This work explores 3D‐printed GMR sensors utilizing self‐compliant spring structures and conductive PLA composites. By optimizing arm width, we achieved high piezoresistive (0.34%/mm) and magnetoresistive (0.77%/mT) sensitivities. Demonstrated through Bluetooth‐integrated pressure and magnetic position sensing, these full printed low‐cost, customizable

The subject of this work is the development of a corrosion‐protective coating on steel sheets for form hardening. Rapid heating in an extreme high vacuum (XHV)‐adequate atmosphere is a useful method to prevent oxidation during alloying of 22MnB5 and aluminum to obtain a metallurgical bonding.

A Topology Optimization Framework for the Inverse Design of Nonlinear Mechanical Metamaterials
This work uses topology optimization to design unit cells for mechanical metamaterials with a prescribed nonlinear stress–strain response. The framework adds contact and postbuckling modeling to synthesize microstructures for three highly nonlinear responses, including pseudoductile behavior, monostable with snap‐through buckling, and bistable ...

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Optimal Auxiliary Functions Method for viscous flow due to a stretching surface with partial slip
The viscous flow induced by a stretching surface with partial slip is investigated. The flow is governed by a third-order nonlinear differential equation, corresponding to the planar and axisymmetric stretching.
