Isospectral strings [PDF]

open access: yesInverse Problems, 2002
Summary: Transformations are found which give new density functions for strings isospectral to a given string, for the Dirichlet case. The formalism is also cast in a group-theoretic framework which unifies the procedure and enables invariant functions to be found.

On higher-derivative effects on the gravitational potential and particle bending

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Using modern amplitude techniques we compute the leading classical and quantum corrections to the gravitational potential between two massive scalars induced by adding cubic terms to Einstein gravity.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Gradually Releasing and Anti-sanding String for Separate Layer Production

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2016
To address the issue of difficult pulling out of hole of separate layer oil production string due to scaling and sanding in Jidong oilfield, the gradually releasing and anti-sanding string for separate layer production has been developed. The string mainly

The subleading eikonal in supergravity theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In this paper we study the subleading contributions to eikonal scattering in (super)gravity theories with particular emphasis on the role of both elastic and inelastic scattering processes.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Eikonal scattering in Kaluza-Klein gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study eikonal scattering in the context of Kaluza-Klein theory by considering a massless scalar field coupled to Einstein’s gravity in 5D compactified to 4D on a manifold M 4 × S 1.

Patterning the Void: Combining L‐Systems with Archimedean Tessellations as a Perspective for Tissue Engineering Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations
