Reductions of exceptional field theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Double Field Theory (DFT) and Exceptional Field Theory (EFT), collectively called ExFTs, have proven to be a remarkably powerful new framework for string and M-theory.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Tr(F 3) supersymmetric form factors and maximal transcendentality. Part I. N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super Yang-Mills

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In the large top-mass limit, Higgs plus multi-gluon amplitudes in QCD can be computed using an effective field theory. This approach turns the computation of such amplitudes into that of form factors of operators of increasing classical dimension.

Nonrelativistic String Theory in Background Fields

open access: yes, 2019
Nonrelativistic string theory is a unitary, ultraviolet finite quantum gravity theory with a nonrelativistic string spectrum. The vertex operators of the worldsheet theory determine the spacetime geometry of nonrelativistic string theory, known as the ...

A simple online competitive adaptation of Lempel-Ziv compression with efficient random access support [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We present a simple adaptation of the Lempel Ziv 78' (LZ78) compression scheme ({\em IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1978}) that supports efficient random access to the input string.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Wave propagation in a non-uniform string

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ensino de Física
In this article I present the behavior of the reflection and transmission coefficients of a pulse at a joint between two strings with mass densities μ1and μ2. The joint is made of a string segment with mass density varying linearly from μ1 to μ2. It will

Supersymmetric domain walls in 7D maximal gauged supergravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
We give a large class of supersymmetric domain walls in maximal seven-dimensional gauged supergravity with various types of gauge groups. Gaugings are described by components of the embedding tensor transforming in representations $$\mathbf {15}$$ 15 and

The transverse structure of the QCD string

open access: yes, 2010
The characterization of the transverse structure of the QCD string is discussed. We formulate a conjecture as to how the stress-energy tensor of the underlying gauge theory couples to the string degrees of freedom. A consequence of the conjecture is that

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...
