2-Group Symmetries of 6D Little String Theories and T-Duality [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institute Henri Poincare. Physique theorique, 2020
We determine the 2-group structure constants for all the six-dimensional little string theories (LSTs) geometrically engineered in F-theory without frozen singularities. We use this result as a consistency check for T-duality: the 2-groups of a pair of T-

Drag force on heavy diquarks and gauge/string duality [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
We use gauge/string duality to model a doubly heavy diquark in a color antitriplet moving in a thermal plasma at temperatures near the critical. With the assumption that there is no relative motion between the constituents, we calculate the drag force on

Asymptotic One-Point Functions in Gauge-String Duality with Defects. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2017
We take the first step in extending the integrability approach to one-point functions in AdS/dCFT to higher loop orders. More precisely, we argue that the formula encoding all tree-level one-point functions of SU(2) operators in the defect version of N=4

Spinor-Vector Duality and the Swampland

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
The Swampland Program aims to address the question, “when does an effective field theory model of quantum gravity have an ultraviolet complete embedding in string theory?”, and can be regarded as a bottom-up approach for investigations of quantum gravity.

Deep inelastic scattering cross sections from the gauge/string duality [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2015
Differential cross sections of deep inelastic scattering of charged leptons from hadrons are investigated by using the gauge/string duality. We consider vector mesons derived from different holographic dual models obtaining a general expression. We focus

T-duality of non-relativistic string in torsional Newton-Cartan background

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
In this short note we analyse T-duality properties of non-relativistic string in torsional Newton-Cartan background. We also determine condition that ensures that non-relativistic string maps to non-relativistic string under T-duality.

Little strings and T-duality [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2016
We study the 2d N = 4 gauge theory descriptions of little strings on type II NS5- branes. The IIB strings on N NS5-branes are described by the N = (4,4) gauge theories, whose Higgs branch CFTs on U(N) instanton moduli spaces are relevant. The IIA strings are described by N = (4,4) circular A_{N-1} quiver theories, whose Coulomb branch CFTs are relevant.

S-duality and Topological Strings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2004
In this paper we show how S-duality of type IIB superstrings leads to an S-duality relating A and B model topological strings on the same Calabi-Yau as had been conjectured recently: D-instantons of the B-model correspond to A-model perturbative amplitudes and D-instantons of the A-model capture perturbative B-model amplitudes.
