T-duality in nonrelativistic open string theory
Nonrelativistic open string theory is defined by a worldsheet theory that produces a Galilean invariant string spectrum and is described at low energies by a nonrelativistic Yang-Mills theory [1].

Advances in String Theory in Curved Backgrounds: A Synthesis Report [PDF]
A synthetic report of the advances in the study of classical and quantum string dynamics in curved backgrounds is provided, namely: the new feature of multistring solutions; the effect of a cosmological constant and of spacial curvature on classical and quantum strings; classical splitting of fundamental strings;the general string evolution in constant

Analytic solution for tachyon condensation in open string field theory [PDF]
We propose a new basis in Witten’s open string field theory, in which the star product simplifies considerably. For a convenient choice of gauge the classical string field equation of motion yields straightforwardly an exact analytic solution that ...

Additive manufacturing, specifically fused deposition modeling, offers an innovative approach to creating 3D‐printed variable orifice flowmeters with integrated temperature compensation. Using carbon‐black TPU, the primary component (a variable orifice) and the secondary element (a diaphragm pressure sensor) are fabricated.

This elementary introduction to string field theory highlights the features and the limitations of this approach to quantum gravity as it is currently understood. String field theory is a formulation of string theory as a field theory in space-time with an infinite number of massive fields. Although existing constructions of string field theory require

Boundary terms in string field theory
We supplement the string field theory action with boundary terms to make its variational principle well-posed. Central to our considerations is the violation of the stress-energy tensor conservation in non-compact CFTs due to the boundary terms.

This study elucidates the crosstalk between tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) and anaplastic thyroid cancer stem cells (ATCSCs). The findings reveal that CCL20 from THP‐1‐M2 activates the IRAK‐1/NF‐κB1/2 pathway in ATCSCs, thereby enhancing CXCL5 secretion.

Perturbative string theory from Newtonian limit of string geometry theory
String geometry theory is one of the candidates of the non-perturbative formulation of string theory. In Sato (Int J Mod Phys A 34(23):1950126, 2019), the perturbative string theory is reproduced from a string geometry model coupled with a u(1) gauge ...

Closed String Amplitudes in Open String Field Theory [PDF]
We investigate gauge invariant operators corresponding to on-shell closed string states in open string field theory. Using both oscillator representation and conformal mapping techniques, we calculate a two closed string tachyon amplitude that connects two gauge invariant operators by an open string propagator. We find that this amplitude is in a ...

Sensory Encoding Alternates With Hippocampal Ripples across Cycles of Forebrain Spiking Cascades
This study reveals widespread, coordinated brain activity during passive visual stimulation in mice. Sensory coding, phase‐locked with the periodic dynamics, shows an inverse relationship to hippocampal ripples. The results suggest that periodic brain activity spurs alteration between two distinct operational modes of brain, facilitating exteroceptive ...
