The boundary state for a class of analytic solutions in open string field theory
, 2011A bstractWe construct a boundary state for a class of analytic solutions in the Witten’s open string field theory. The result is consistent with the property of the zero limit of a propagator’s length, which was claimed in [19].

Solutions from boundary condition changing operators in open string field theory
, 2010We construct analytic solutions of open string field theory using boundary condition changing (bcc) operators. We focus on bcc operators with vanishing conformal weight such as those for regular marginal deformations of the background. For any Fock space

Regularization of identity based solution in string field theory
, 2010We demonstrate that an Erler-Schnabl type solution in cubic string field theory can be naturally interpreted as a gauge invariant regularization of an identity based solution.

Relevant deformations in open string field theory: a simple solution for lumps
, 2010A bstractWe propose a remarkably simple solution of cubic open string field theory which describes inhomogeneous tachyon condensation. The solution is in one-to-one correspondence with the IR fixed point of the RG-flow generated in the two-dimensional ...

Closed strings in open-string field theory
Physical Review Letters, 1987An explicit construction of closed-string states is given in terms of open-string oscillators acting on the open-string Fock vacuum. The closed-open-open coupling is computed for the graviton and agrees with the standard result. The closed string states are not annihilated by the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin operator Q.

Nonpolynomial String Field Theory [PDF]
String field theory, so far, has been relatively clean and simple. For example, the light cone string field theory for closed strings [1] was purely cubic, yet it successfully reproduced the highly nonlinear theory of Einstein. The covariant version of the open string field theory [2] was even simpler, being just a Chern— Simons term.
