Aspects of type I string phenomenology [PDF]
Nuclear Physics B, 1999 We study different phenomenological aspects of compact, D=4, N=1 Type IIB orientifolds considered as models for unification of the standard model and gravity. We discuss the structure of the compactification, string and unification scales depending on the different possible D-brane configurations.

The string soundscape at gravitational wave detectors
Physics Letters B, 2018 We argue that gravitational wave signals due to collisions of ultra-relativistic bubble walls may be common in string theory. This occurs due to a process of post-inflationary vacuum decay via quantum tunnelling.

U(1)′ coupling constant at low energies from heterotic orbifolds
Physics Letters B, 2019 Additional Abelian gauge interactions are generic to string compactifications. In heterotic string models, gauge coupling unification of such forces and other gauge interactions is natural due to their common origin.
