One-loop phenomenology in brane models [PDF]
Particular examples of one-loop string effects are explored in the context of brane-based realizations of the Standard Model. We firstly examine the consequences of a phenomenon known as Kinetic Mixing, which couples hidden U(1) gauge factors to visible ...

Patient Journey Mapping in Mental Disorders: A Scoping Review
ABSTRACT Patient journey mapping is a visualisation tool increasingly adopted in healthcare to optimise care processes. This scoping review mapped international evidence on its application to mental disorders. Following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology and PRISMA‐ScR reporting guidelines, this review searched seven databases from inception to 1 ...

ABSTRACT This paper reports on an interpretive phenomenological study that examined the lived experiences of teacher educators in Spain. Responding to a lack of research on teacher educators, the study sought to make sense of the participants' work in the current, post‐pandemic context.

Locality and causality properties of light cone string field theory [PDF]
The recent discovery of a new maximally supersymmetric background for the type IIB superstring theory has revived the interest in light cone string field theory.

Abstract Objective To identify clinically meaningful patterns in ictal electroclinical features of focal epilepsy using a data‐driven, unsupervised learning approach, and to assess whether such patterns can localize and lateralize the epileptogenic zone (EZ) more accurately than conventional electroclinical interpretation.

Proton-proton collisions at energies from √s = 200 GeV up to √s = 14 TeV are studied within the microscopic quark-gluon string model. The model is based on Gribov’s Reggeon Field Theory accomplished by string phenomenology.

Abstract Deep brain stimulation (DBS) effectively treats motor symptoms in movement disorders but often compromises speech through incompletely defined mechanisms. We conducted a PROSPERO‐registered systematic review and meta‐analysis of publications through August 2024 (CRD42024527738).

Following Dyson's analogy between the quantum field theory and the 19th-century chemistry-both explain how but not why-one could also establish an analogy between atomic physics and string theory. Atomic physics was needed to answer the question why in chemistry, string theory is trying to answer the question why in the standard model.

Quark masses and mixing in string-inspired models
We study a class of supersymmetric Froggatt-Nielsen (FN) models with multiple U(1) symmetries and Standard Model (SM) singlets inspired by heterotic string compactifications on Calabi-Yau threefolds.
