Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

Identification and characterisation of calcitonin receptor isoforms expressed in glioblastoma derived glioma stem and U‐87 MG cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma cells express calcitonin receptor variants (CT receptor isoforms) that may help them survive stress. Using qPCR, transcript‐specific long‐read nanopore sequencing, immunofluorescence co‐localisation and comparative sequence analysis, this study identifies a novel alternatively spliced CALCR transcript that encodes the CTb receptor isoform ...

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Strength and stability of continuous welded rail track of ballastless track superstructure of Moscow – Saint Petersburg high-speed main line

open access: yesВестник Научно-исследовательского института железнодорожного транспорта
Introduction. The development of high-speed main line with the speed up to 400 km/h is strictly connected with the major problem of insufficient normative technical documentation which regulates methodology of railway design calculation, including ...

Is an Apple an Orange? A Large Language Model Benchmark for Candidate Term Extraction and Subclass Decisions Against Upper Ontologies in Engineering and Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

The stability of D‐term cosmic strings [PDF]

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, 2007
In this note, which is based on hep-th/0611111, we review the stability of the static, positive deficit angle D-term string solutions of D=4, N=1 supergravity with a constant Fayet-Iliopoulos term. We prove the semi-classical stability of this class of solutions using standard positive energy theorem techniques.
