Spinning S-matrix bootstrap in 4d
We review unitarity and crossing constraints on scattering amplitudes for particles with spin in four dimensional quantum field theories. As an application we study two to two scattering of neutral spin 1/2 fermions in detail.

Towards the non-perturbative cosmological bootstrap
We study quantum field theory on a de Sitter spacetime dS d+1 background. Our main tool is the Hilbert space decomposition in irreducible unitary representations of its isometry group SO(d + 1, 1). As the first application of the Hilbert space formalism,

Hamming index of graphs with respect to its incidence matrix
Let B(G) be the incidence matrix of a graph G. The row in B(G)corresponding to a vertex v, denoted by s(v) is the string which belongs to ℤm2, a set of m-tuples over a field of order two.

Putting string /string duality to the test [PDF]
After simultaneous compactification of spacetime and worldvolume on $K3$, the $D=10$ heterotic fivebrane with gauge group $SO(32)$ behaves like a $D=6$ heterotic string with gauge group $SO(28) \times SU(2)$, but with Kac--Moody levels different from those of the fundamental string.

Mechanisms of the Flying Chain Fountain
When a chain is released by one end from a container, it forms a striking arch extending well above the container. This phenomenon is caused by the famous Mould effect and is explained by an anomalous supply of momentum from the container, causing an ...

Four-Dimensional String/String Duality [PDF]
We present supersymmetric soliton solutions of the four-dimensional heterotic string corresponding to monopoles, strings and domain walls. These solutions admit the $D=10$ interpretation of a fivebrane wrapped around $5$, $4$ or $3$ of the $6$ toroidally compactified dimensions and are arguably exact to all orders in $α'$. The solitonic string solution

Torsion in String-Inspired Cosmologies and the Universe Dark Sector
Several aspects of torsion in string-inspired cosmologies are reviewed. In particular, its connection with fundamental, string-model independent, axion fields associated with the massless gravitational multiplet of the string are discussed.

String Abstractions for String Verification [PDF]
Verifying string manipulating programs is a crucial problem in computer security. String operations are used extensively within web applications to manipulate user input, and their erroneous use is the most common cause of security vulnerabilities in web applications.

This review is devoted to open strings, and in particular to the often surprising features of their spectra. It follows and summarizes developments that took place mainly at the University of Rome ``Tor Vergata'' over the last decade, and centred on world-sheet aspects of the constructions now commonly referred to as ``orientifolds''.
