Bootstrapping the a-anomaly in 4d QFTs

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We study gapped 4d quantum field theories (QFTs) obtained from a relevant deformation of a UV conformal field theory (CFT). For simplicity, we assume the existence of a ℤ2 symmetry and a single ℤ2-odd stable particle and no ℤ2-even particles at low ...

Advances in Sustainable and Wearable Textile Based Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Review examines advances in wearable textile‐based soft robotics, focusing on sustainable materials, integrated sensing, and scalable actuation. It discusses manufacturing and system integration across healthcare, assistive robotics, prosthetics, and human–machine interfaces, and highlights key challenges in circular design, including life‐cycle ...

Curvature Invariants for Lorentzian Traversable Wormholes

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
The curvature invariants of three Lorentzian wormholes are calculated and plotted in this paper. The plots may be inspected for discontinuities to analyze the traversability of a wormhole.

Implantable Ionic Memristors Based on Natural Polymer Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report an implantable natural polymer‐based ionic memristor composed of hyaluronic acid, chitosan, and PDMS. The device achieved 98.94% accuracy in MNIST classification while reducing training time by 36.8% compared with a conventional artificial neural network (ANN).

Synthesized Strings For String Players

open access: yes, 2004
A system is introduced that allows a string player to control asynthesis engine with the gestural skills he is used to. Theimplemented system is based on an electric viola and asynthesis engine that is directly controlled by the unanalysedaudio signal of the instrument and indirectly by controlparameters mapped to the synthesis engine.

Remote Activation of Wnt Signaling and Cell Proliferation by E‐Cadherin Magnetomechanical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pioneering magnetogenetic toolkit enables non‐invasive, precise spatiotemporal modulation of intracellular Wnt/β‐catenin signaling. Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs@E/EC15) target cellular E‐cadherins to generate localized magnetomechanical forces under low‐intensity magnetic fields.

A TESTIMONY TO THE IMMORTALITY OF THE STRING QUARTET GENRE: GLOSSE BY LUCIANO BERIO

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai. Musica, 2011
Luciano Berio’s string quartet compositions are a significant post-war contribution to the medium. Glosse, the last of these pieces, is conceived as a series of short musical commentaries on an imaginary quartet.
