Weak solutions and weak-strong uniqueness for a thermodynamically consistent phase-field model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In this paper we prove the existence of weak solutions for a thermodynamically consistent phase-field model introduced in [26] in two and three dimensions of space. We use a notion of solution inspired by [18], where the pointwise internal energy balance is replaced by the total energy inequality complemented with a weak form of the entropy inequality.

A note on strong-consistency of componentwise ARH(1) predictors [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
This paper presents a new result on strong-consistency, in the trace norm, of a diagonal componentwise parameter estimator of the autocorrelation operator of an autoregressive process of order one (ARH(1) process), allowing strong-consistency of the associated plug-in predictor.

Strong consistency results for least squares estimators in general vector autoregressions with deterministic terms [PDF]

open access: yes
A vector autoregression with deterministic terms and with no restrictions to its characteristic roots is considered. Strong consistency results for the least squares statistics are presented.

Asymptotic properties of least squares statistics in general vector autoregressive models [PDF]

open access: yes
A vector autoregression with deterministic terms with no restrictions to its characteristic roots is considered. Strong consistency results and also some weak convergence results are given for a number of least squares statistics.

Consistency in Distributed Data Stores [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
This paper focuses on the problem of consistency in distributed data stores. We define strong consistency model which provides a simple semantics for application programmers, but impossible to achieve with availability and partition-tolerance. We also define weaker consistency models including causal and eventual consistency.
