Some Remarks on Consistency and Strong Inconsistency of Bayesian Inference [PDF]
The paper provides new sufficient conditions for consistent and coherent Bayesian inference when a model is invariant under some group of transformations.

Strong Consistency of Kernel Regression Estimate
In this paper, regression function estimation from independent and identically distributed data is considered. We establish strong pointwise consistency of the famous Nadaraya-Watson estimator under weaker conditions which permit to apply kernels with unbounded support and even not integrable ones and provide a general approach for constructing ...

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Social context prevents heat hormetic effects against mutagens during fish development
This study shows that sublethal heat stress protects fish embryos against ultraviolet radiation, a concept known as ‘hormesis’. However, chemical stress transmission between fish embryos negates this protective effect. By providing evidence for the mechanistic molecular basis of heat stress hormesis and interindividual stress communication, this study ...

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

Strong Consistency of Multiple Isotonic Median Estimation
AbstractSuppose an unknown isotonic function f, defined on the unit cube in m-dimensional space Rm, is represented only by a data sequence contaminated by noise. Assuming independence and bounds on the first and second absolute central moments of the errors, we show that every estimator of f based on discrete isotonic L1 approximation of the data is ...

Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14

Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

We achieved cytoplasmic delivery of non‐cell‐penetrating IgGs by grafting a single functional complementarity‐determining region 1 (CDR1) from the light chain variable region (VL) of the cell‐internalizable 3D8 antibody. The engineered IgG acquired cell‐penetrating ability while maintaining antigen affinity, highlighting CDR1 grafting as a promising ...
