Stability of strong detonation waves and rates of convergence

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1998
In this article, we prove stability of strong detonation waves and find their rate of convergence for a combustion model. Our results read as follows: I) There exists a global solution that converges exponentially in time to a strong detonation wave ...

Static and Dynamic Behavior of Novel Y‐Shaped Sandwich Beams Subjected to Compressive Loadings: Integration of Supervised Learning and Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the mechanical response of Y‐shaped core sandwich beams under compressive loading is investigated, using deep feed‐forward neural networks (DFNNs) for predictive modeling. The DFNN model accurately captures stress–strain behavior, influenced by design parameters and loading rates.

Strong convergence rates of modified truncated EM methods for neutral stochastic differential delay equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
The aim of this paper is to investigate strong convergence of modified truncated Euler-Maruyama method for neutral stochastic differential delay equations introduced in Lan (2018). Strong convergence rates of the given numerical scheme to the exact solutions at fixed time $T$ are obtained under local Lipschitz and Khasminskii-type conditions. Moreover,

A Novel Approach on Rapid Alloy Development of Tool Steels for Laser Powder Bed Fusion by In Situ Alloying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel approach for alloy development in laser powder bed fusion is introduced. Instead of producing massive samples of one composition at a time, prepressed powder bed samples produced from powder mixtures are processed. Guidelines for the selection of precursor powders are developed.

Strong Convergence Theorems for Solutions of Equations of Hammerstein Type

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We consider an auxiliary operator, defined in a real Hilbert space in terms of and , that is, monotone and Lipschitz mappings (resp., monotone and bounded mappings).

Consolidate Overview of Ribonucleic Acid Molecular Dynamics: From Molecular Movements to Material Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics simulations are advancing the study of ribonucleic acid (RNA) and RNA‐conjugated molecules. These developments include improvements in force fields, long‐timescale dynamics, and coarse‐grained models, addressing limitations and refining methods.

Rate of Strong Convergence to Markov-modulated Brownian motion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In Latouche and Nguyen (2015), the authors constructed a sequence of stochastic fluid processes and showed that it converges weakly to a Markov-modulated Brownian motion (MMBM). Here, we construct a different sequence of stochastic fluid processes and show that it converges strongly to an MMBM.
