Effects of Creep in Titanium at Room Temperature during Tensile and Profilometry‐Based Indentation Plastometry Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article concerns room temperature tensile testing, with a range of (nominal) strain rates, of three titanium alloys. Stress–strain curves are analyzed to obtain creep characteristics. Profilometry‐based indentation plastometry testing is also covered, using different penetration velocities, and correlations established with tensile data.

Topologies of (strong) uniform convergence on bornologies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We continue the study of topologies of strong uniform convergence on bornologies initiated in [G. Beer and S. Levi, Strong uniform continuity, J. Math Anal. Appl., 350:568-589, 2009] and [G. Beer and S. Levi, Uniform continuity, uniform convergence and shields, Set-Valued and Variational Analysis, 18:251-275, 2010].

Influence of a Hydrogen Addition to the Inert Gas and Subsequent Heat Treatments on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Magnesium WE43 Fabricated by PBF‐LB/M

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article investigates optimal processing conditions for the laser‐based powder bed fusion of WE43. To limit the interaction with remaining oxygen, a 3 vol% hydrogen admixture to the inert gas is investigated. Furthermore, heat treatments are investigated in the range of 250–350 °C for 48 h.

Convergence rates of truncated EM scheme for NSDDEs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
This paper is concerned with strong convergence of the truncated Euler-Maruyama scheme for neutral stochastic differential delay equations driven by Brownian motion and pure jumps respectively. Under local Lipschitz condition, convergence rates of the truncated EM scheme are given.

Covalently‐Bonded Diaphite Nanoplatelet with Engineered Electronic Properties of Diamond

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel approach to engineering the electronic properties of diamond is reported on the diaphite nanoplatelet consisting of (11¯${{\bar{1}}}$1) planes of diamond nanoplatelet covalently bonded with graphite (0001) planes. The strong sp3/sp2‐hybridized interfacial covalent bonding induces the electron transfer from diamond to graphite, resulting in a ...

Strong convergence of modified Ishikawa iterations for nonlinear mappings [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem of modified Ishikawa iterations for relatively asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in Banach space. Our results extend and improve the recent results by Nakajo, Takahashi, Kim, Xu, Matsushita and some others.

Imbalanced Surface Charge Induced Phase Segregation in Mixed Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The key factor determining the phase segregation in mixed halide perovskites (MHP) is the intrinsic imbalanced surface charges in the crystal lattice. MHP films with excellent crystallinity and surface morphology can suffer severe phase segregation.
