Weak Convergence in the Prokhorov Metric of Methods for Stochastic Differential Equations

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the weak convergence of numerical methods for stochastic differential equations (SDEs). Weak convergence is usually expressed in terms of the convergence of expected values of test functions of the trajectories. Here we present an alternative

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The Strong Convergence of Schrodinger Propagators [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1981
Time dependent versions of the Trotter-Kato theorem are discussed using nonstandard analysis. Both standard and nonstandard results are obtained. In particular, it is shown that if a sequence of generators converges in the strong resolvent topology at each time to a limiting generator and if the sequence of generators and limiting generator uniformly ...

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Strong Convergence of Viscosity Iteration Methods for Nonexpansive Mappings

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2009
We propose a new viscosity iterative scheme for finding fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a reflexive Banach space having a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm and satisfying that every weakly compact convex subset of the space has the fixed ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Strong Convergence Theorems for Lipschitzian Demicontraction Semigroups in Banach Spaces

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2011
The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study the strong convergence problem of the explicit iteration process for a Lipschitzian and demicontraction semigroups in arbitrary Banach spaces.

Strong Convergence in a Product Space [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1962
The purpose of this note is to present a certain necessary and sufficient condition for strong convergence in Lp over a product space. This result is formulated as Theorem 1 below. Theorem 1 includes as a special case a well-known compactness condition of M. Riesz, which we state in slightly different form as Theorem 2.

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.
