Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Previsão de séries de tempo na presença de mudança estrutural: redes neurais artificials e modelos estruturais

open access: yesEconomia Aplicada, 1998
The Brazilian price stabilisation policies and trade liberalisation measures of this decade have considerably increased the difficulty in generating accurate time series forecasts due to structural changes in the data generation processes. In this paper

A Historical Analysis of Public Communication of Science in the Public Science Magazines published during 1910-2010 [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات اطلاع‌رسانی و کتابخانه‌های عمومی, 2013
Purpose: This study illuminates some lights on public communication dissemination of science magazines as a possible contributive factor to the structural changes in the public communication of Science in Iranian society.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural Change With Long‐Run Income and Price Effects

open access: yesEconometrica, 2015
We present a new multi‐sector growth model that features nonhomothetic, constant elasticity of substitution preferences, and accommodates long‐run demand and supply drivers of structural change for an arbitrary number of sectors.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

DUALISME DALAM SEKTOR MANUFAKTUR INDONESIA: SEBUAH UJI HIPOTESIS DENGAN ANALISIS INPUT-OUTPUT

open access: yesJurnal Manajemen dan Wirausaha, 2006
According to standard literature on development economics, development processes may cause dualism. Dualism means that there are huge sectors (or regions) with modern technology as well as small sectors (or regions) with traditional technology. As far as

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

Entrepreneurship, structural change, and economic growth [PDF]

open access: yes
The ability to adjust to structural change is vital to economic development, and entries can be active participants in this process. While the importance of factor reallocations for growth is widely accepted, the role of entrepreneurs in managing these ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
