Structural Characterization of Nitrimyoglobin
Nitrimyoglobin was formed in greater than 94% yield by a simple reaction between excess nitrite and horse heart metmyoglobin at pH 5.5. This dark green pigment was shown by 1H NMR spectroscopy to be a single, pure product with a well defined tertiary structure that is highly similar to the starting myoglobin.

A characterization of the finite Veronesean by intersection properties [PDF]
A combinatorial characterization of the Veronese variety of all quadrics in PG(n, q) by means of its intersection properties with respect to subspaces is obtained. The result relies on a similar combinatorial result on the Veronesean of all conics in the

Structural Characterization of LRRK2 Inhibitors
Kinase inhibition is considered to be an important therapeutic target for LRRK2 mediated Parkinson's disease (PD). Many LRRK2 kinase inhibitors have been reported but have yet to be optimized in order to qualify as drug candidates for the treatment of the disease. In order to start a structure-function analysis of such inhibitors, we mutated the active

Quasi-Hadamard Full Propelinear Codes [PDF]
In this paper, we give a characterization of quasi-Hadamard groups in terms of propelinear codes. We define a new class of codes that we call quasi-Hadamard full propelinear codes.

Community Structure Characterization [PDF]
This entry discusses the problem of describing some communities identified in a complex network of interest, in a way allowing to interpret them. We suppose the community structure has already been detected through one of the many methods proposed in the literature. The question is then to know how to extract valuable information from this first result,

Structural identifiability of viscoelastic mechanical systems [PDF]
We solve the local and global structural identifiability problems for viscoelastic mechanical models represented by networks of springs and dashpots. We propose a very simple characterization of both local and global structural identifiability based on ...
