Characterization of Linear Structures

Designs, Codes and Cryptography, 2001
Let \(F\) be a function defined from \(F_2^m\) to \(F_2^n\) and \((\alpha,a)\) be an element of \(F_2^m\times F_2^n\), with \(\alpha\neq 0\). Then \((\alpha,a)\) is defined to be a linear structure of \(F\) if \(F(x)= F(x+\alpha)+ a\) for all \(x\in F_2^m\).

Coinductive characterizations of applicative structures

Mathematical Structures in Computer Science, 1999
We discuss new ways of characterizing, as maximal fixed points of monotone operators, observational congruences on λ-terms and, more generally, equivalences on applicative structures. These characterizations naturally induce new forms of coinduction principles for reasoning on program equivalences, which are not based on Abramsky's applicative ...

On Characterization of Chemical Structure

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 1997
We briefly review characterization of chemical structure as evolving from the early work on the connectivity index to the latest work on a characterization of 3-D structures, including characterization of the folding of model proteins.

On Characterization of Cyclic Structures

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 1997
We consider a characterization of cyclic structures based on the information from graph distance matrix, D, and detour matrix, DD, of a graph. Using the elements of D and DD matrices we have constructed a new matrix D/DD, the elements of which are given as a quotient of the corresponding elements of D and DD matrices. The sum of all entries of a matrix

Functional and structural characterization of a heparanase

Nature Chemical Biology, 2015
We report the structural and functional characterization of a novel heparanase (BpHep) from the invasive pathogenic bacterium Burkholderia pseudomallei (Bp), showing ∼24% sequence identity with human heparanase (hHep). Site-directed mutagenesis studies confirmed the active site resi-dues essential for activity, and we found that BpHep has specificity ...

Structural characterization and properties of polyols plasticized chitosan films.

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2019
In this study, the influence of different polyols such as glycerol, xylitol and maltitol on the crystalline structure and thermal properties of chitosan films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR ...

Systolic structures: A notion and characterization

Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 1986
A notion of systolicity based on embeddability of processing structures is introduced. This notion characterizes the systolic structures that can be extended to solve problems of larger size, without a corresponding increase in processing time. A mathematical model for specifying such extendable structures is developed.

Structural characterization of resistant starch isolated from Laird lentils (Lens culinaris) seeds subjected to different processing treatments.

Food Chemistry, 2018
This work focused on the structural characterization of resistant starch from untreated (UL-RS), germinated (GL-RS), fermented (FL-RS), microwaved (ML-RS), conventionally cooked (CL-RS), and autoclaved (AL-RS) lentil seeds.
