Characterization of superconducting localized structures
Philosophical Magazine B, 2000Abstract We studied electron localization effects in superconducting Nb/Al bilayers. These effects are characterized by a decrease in resistivity with increasing temperature typical of a semiconductor and by an enhancement of the critical temperature Tc.

Structural Characterization of Peptide Antibodies
2015The role of proteins as very effective immunogens for the generation of antibodies is indisputable. Nevertheless, cases in which protein usage for antibody production is not feasible or convenient compelled the creation of a powerful alternative consisting of synthetic peptides.

Structural Characterization of α-Zein
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2005A variety of published physical measurements, computational algorithms, and structural modeling methods have been used to create a molecular model of 19 kDa alpha-zein (Z19). Zetaeins are water-insoluble storage proteins found in corn protein bodies. Analyses of the protein sequence using probability algorithms, structural studies by circular dichroism,

Structural Characterization of Pollen Allergens
Clinical Reviews in Allergy & Immunology, 2006The molecular characterization of allergens has accelerated significantly since the widespread implementation of modern analytical methods. The combination of gene cloning and heterologous protein expression has generated an extensive array of allergens that is available for comparative analysis, as well as clinical applications.

Coinductive characterizations of applicative structures
Mathematical Structures in Computer Science, 1999We discuss new ways of characterizing, as maximal fixed points of monotone operators, observational congruences on λ-terms and, more generally, equivalences on applicative structures. These characterizations naturally induce new forms of coinduction principles for reasoning on program equivalences, which are not based on Abramsky's applicative ...

Fine structural characterization of sulodexide
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2018Sulodexide is a heparinoid which combines the properties of its components heparin and dermatan sulfate and is used not only for the prophylaxis and treatment of thromboembolic diseases but also for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. Despite many clinical studies have been conducted to investigate its activity and safety, no data are available on ...

Structural characterization of canine PYY
Peptides, 1990PYY was purified from canine colonic mucosa by sequential steps of reverse phase HPLC and ion-exchange FPLC. Microsequence, amino acid and mass spectral analyses of the purified peptide and its tryptic fragments were consistent with the structure: YPAKPEAPGEDASPEELSRYYASLRHYLNLVTRQRY-amide. Canine PYY(1-36) has the identical sequence as porcine and rat

Structural Characterization of IBV Glycoproteins
1984Avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) causes economically important disease in chickens, affecting both respiratory and non-respiratory tissues. Like other coronaviruses IBV virions contain three virus-coded protein structures, the spike (S; surface projection, peplomer), nucleocapsid (N) and matrix (M) proteins1. The polypeptides of M and N proteins

Structural Characterization of Inorganic Biomaterials
2013Composite materials with unique architectures are ubiquitous in nature, e.g., marine shells, sponge spicules, bones, and dentine. These structured organic-inorganic systems are generated through self-assembly of organic matter (usually proteins or lipids) into scaffolds, onto which the inorganic component is deposited in organized hierarchical ...

TEM Characterization of Structural Defects
1996It needs no comment that structural defects strongly influence a large number of physical properties as well as the behaviour of materials as function of temperature or pressure. Different techniques allow to detect or characterize these defects in a direct or an indirect way.
