Structure of the major degradant of ezetimibe

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2012
In a recent contribution to this Journal Gajjar and Shah described the isolation and structure elucidation of the major alkaline degradant of ezetimibe, a lipid lowering agent [A.K. Gajjar, V.D. Shah, J. Pharm. Biomed. Anal. 55 (2011) 225-229]. Based on (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and mass spectrometric studies the authors concluded that the structure of the ...

Nuclease Degradation and the Structure of Ribosomes

European Journal of Biochemistry, 1972
Well‐defined patterns of fragments are produced when Escherichia coli ribosomes, both native, dissociated, unfolded, and partially denuded of proteins by treatment with caesium chloride, are digested with pancreatic ribonuclease, and the extracted RNA is fractionated by polyacryl‐amide gel electrophoresis.

Degradation study of irbesartan: Isolation and structural elucidation of novel degradants

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2018
To assess the stability of Irbesartan under stress conditions, and identify the degradation products, it was subjected to hydrolytic and oxidative stress, according to ICH guideline Q1A (R2). The drug showed degradation only in basic conditions, while it was stable to other stress conditions. Three degradation products were formed, which were separated

A degradation product of halobetasol propionate—Characterization and structure

Steroids, 2007
Degradation of halobetasol propionate was observed in the presence of bases. A single cyclization product was isolated and fully characterized by MS, NMR and X-ray crystallography.

Structural degradation of ceramics

Biomaterials, 1984
Fabrication procedures for alumina are summarized and the potential for improving the mechanical strength indicated. Engineering performance of alumina is discussed, particularly in relation to femoral heads, giving emphasis to statistical variations in strength and time dependent strength degradation processes.

GPC and structural analysis of polyurethane degradation

Polymer Photochemistry, 1986
Linear polyurethane (PUR) prepolymers were synthesized starting from diphenylmethane-4, 4'-diisocyanate (MDI) and polyester diol oligomers. Two different types of polyester diols were used: poly(ethylene adipate) (PEA) and poly(ethylene/butylene adipate) (PEBA).

Degradation of Aircraft Structures

2004
Maintenance and reliability of aircraft is a major safety concern and economical factor. Many civilian and military aircraft have been in service for 35 years or more. Aircrafts that were originally designed for a service life of 20 years are currently considered for life extensions of up to 80 years.

Structural organization of the RNA-degrading exosome

Current Opinion in Structural Biology, 2008
The RNA exosome participates in the degradation and processing of a wide range of RNA molecules. Recent advances in understanding how the exosome is organized and functions largely stem from structural studies. Crystal structures of archaeal exosomes bound to RNA and of the corresponding nine-subunit human exosome core show that the archaeal and ...

Finite degradation structures

FLAP, 2019
Summary: Probabilistic risk and safety analyses are used in virtually all industries to assess whether the risk of operating complex technical systems is low enough to be socially acceptable. As of today, these analyses rely mainly on stochastic Boolean models such as fault trees or reliability block diagrams.

The Research on Degradation Failure Life and Degradation Data Structure

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
In order to solve the reliability assessment in the case of competition failure induced by the coexistence between burst-type failure and degradation-type failure in the product, the method of degradation amount distribution was adopted to describe the degradation process of performance in product.
