EVALUATING THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF NOVEL DECKHOUSES ON TANKER SHIPS UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS

open access: yes
This paper assesses the structural integrity of atypical superstructures mounted on the decks of two sister sea-going tankers under extreme load conditions.

Structural dynamic investigation of frame structure with bolted joints

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Frame structure is widely used in many engineering structures. Besides, vibrational problem is one of the main challenges in industry. Bolted joints are commonly used in industry to connect two or more mechanical parts and it plays a significant role in ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

An integrated structural health monitoring approach to composite-based pipeline repair [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
One of the most common problems in the structural integrity of industrial pipelines is external corrosion. Composite materials have been accepted as a repair option to restore the original strength of the effected damaged section but the approach to ...

STRUCTURAL ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION [PDF]

open access: yesSocial Thought and Research, 1976
Hillery's constructed types are used as a framework to develop a hypothesis regarding the relationship between forms of social organization and the inte gration and longevity of the group. The hypothesis is tested using: (1) failure rates of businesses and marriages, and (2) failure rates of variously structured intentional communities.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Advancing structural integrity prediction with optimized neural network and vibration analysis

open access: yes
Detecting and locating damage is a crucial endeavor within the field of structural integrity. While Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) have shown promise in this regard, they have certain limitations that can be overcome through modifications in terms of ...

Influence of Loading Rate on the Fracture Toughness of High Strength Structural Steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
It is known that rates of loading influence the fracture behaviour of most ferritic steels. High loading rates could change a stable ductile tearing behaviour to an unstable brittle fracture by altering the ductile-to-brittle transition curve.
