Practical application of structural risk assessment with SMART DT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Structural risk assessments are highly relevant to assure the structural integrity over the whole life-cycle of an aircraft. The Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) from the US Air Force introduces design guidance based on deterministic crack ...

Structural Integrity and Failure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Structural integrity and failure assessment have been considered by many fields of engineers as it is a multi-disciplinary concept. The assessment procedure vitally ensures that structural elements will remain functional throughout their service lives ...

Durability of untreated fine recycled aggregate concrete: a literature review [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2022
Unlike natural aggregate particles, recycled concrete aggregates contain hardened cement paste phases and multiple interfacial transition zones. These differences in properties may be linked to a decrease in durability performance in recycled aggregate ...

Integration: Uniform structure

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1991
In integration theory with respect to a finitely additive measure - as developed, e.g., by \textit{N. Dunford} and \textit{J. T. Schwartz} [Linear Operators. I (1958; Zbl 0084.104)] - a function is called integrable if it is the limit in measure of a \(\|\|_ 1\)-Cauchy sequence of simple functions.

Analysis of the Bauschinger Effect in Cold Drawn Pearlitic Steels

open access: yesMetals, 2020
Prestressing steel wires usually undergo cyclic loading in service. Therefore, it is of interest to analyse certain features of their mechanical behaviour under this type of loading, such as the Bauschinger effect (BE) or the hardening rule, that fit the

Logging Integrity with Blockchain Structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In developed countries, it is frequent for family members do not have the time, knowledge, or live in a close distance of their senior loved ones, so that many institutions offer their services to provide a good quality of life of older adults. To enable distributed local support, there is the need of digital platforms to allow the exchange of ...

Automated non-destructive integrity assessment of metal structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Offshore windmills and pipeline networks are examples of strategic infrastructures used for the production of clean energy and for the storage and long-distance transportation of hydrocarbons, hydrogen and water.

An integral formula for G2–structures

open access: yesJournal of Geometry and Physics, 2022
We apply an integral formula obtained by the author for a general $G$--structure to the case of $G=G_2$. We derive an integral formula relating curvatures and some quadratic invariants of the endomorphism induced by the intrinsic torsion. We interpret the formula in certain special cases.
