Extreme thermal load generation method for high-temperature structures in atmospheric environment

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
For addressing the severe aerodynamic thermal load simulation challenge of hypersonic aircraft in ground tests, an extreme thermal load generation method based graphite for high-temperature structures in atmospheric environment is proposed.

Tensile Fracture Behavior of Progressively-Drawn Pearlitic Steels

open access: yesMetals, 2016
In this paper a study is presented of the tensile fracture behavior of progressively-drawn pearlitic steels obtained from five different cold-drawing chains, including each drawing step from the initial hot-rolled bar (not cold-drawn at all) to the final

Integral Structure for Simple Singularities [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2020
We compute the image of the Milnor lattice of an ADE singularity under a period map. We also prove that the Milnor latticecan be identified with an appropriate relative $K$-group defined through the Berglund-Hübsch dual of the corresponding singularity.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Structural durability assessment of welded offshore K-nodes by different local design concepts

open access: yes, 2009
The structural durability design of complex welded structures should not rely only on one single design method but should apply different methods for assuring the reliability of the assessment.

Sensitivity Analysis of Selected Random Variables of Existing Offshore Jacket Structures in Persian Gulf

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, 2017
Structural integrity evaluation of an existing offshore platform typically is based on a combination of non-linear structural analysis together with risk and reliability analysis. Quantitative assessment of the probability of failure of a jacket platform

Calculation method of radiation heat flux field for quartz lamp array for the constant diameter cabins of missile

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
A rapid calculation method was proposed for the heat flux field of the cylindrical quartz lamp array for the ground thermal test of the constant diameter cabin of missile under multi-elements mesh for the semi-cylinder of the filament.

Structural parameterizations of vertex integrity

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science
The graph parameter vertex integrity measures how vulnerable a graph is to a removal of a small number of vertices. More precisely, a graph with small vertex integrity admits a small number of vertex removals to make the remaining connected components small. In this paper, we initiate a systematic study of structural parameterizations of the problem of
