Centrifugal Inertia‐Induced Directional Alignment of AgNW Network for Preparing Transparent Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Films with Joule Heating Ability

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Transparent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is highly desired in specific visual scenes, but the challenge remains in balancing their EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) and optical transmittance.

Optimization of $Al/AlO_x/Al$-Layer Systems for Josephson Junctions from a Microstructure Point of View [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
$Al/AlO_x/Al$-layer systems are frequently used for Josephson junction-based superconducting devices. Although much work has been devoted to the optimization of the superconducting properties of these devices, systematic studies on influence of ...

Optimizing disordered crystal structures

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section C Structural Chemistry, 2023
A mixed-crystal full-molecule disorder situation is revisited in Parkin et al. [Acta Cryst. (2023), C79, 77–82]. A new interpretation of the data leads to the conclusion that the crystal structure is more likely to be a three-component superposition of enantiomers and the meso isomer of an organic compound and the article is thus a good learning ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Numerical Study of Vortex-Excited Vibration of Flexible Cylindrical Structures with Surface Bulge

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This study conducted numerical simulations of three-dimensional vortex-induced vibrations (VIV) on cylindrical bodies with various surface protrusion coverage rates, systematically investigating the impact of coverage and protrusion height on the ...

On a New Type of Information Processing for Efficient Management of Complex Systems

open access: yes, 2007
It is a challenge to manage complex systems efficiently without confronting NP-hard problems. To address the situation we suggest to use self-organization processes of prime integer relations for information processing.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Structural optimization [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
The non-linear programming algorithms for the minimum weight design of structural frames are presented in this thesis. The first, which is applied to rigidly jointed and pin jointed plane frames subject to deflexion constraints, consists of a search in a feasible design space.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.
