THERMODYNAMICS AND STRUCTURAL CONDITION OF PB-SB ALLOYS
In this paper we study the structural condition and thermodynamic functions of a melt of the Pb-Sb. The investigations were performed for alloys with an antimony content of 5.0-20.0% (wt.), the rest is lead.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Development of Ferroelectric Order in Relaxor (1-x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 - xPbTiO3
The microstructure and phase transition in relaxor ferroelectric Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN) and its solid solution with PbTiO3 (PT), PMN-xPT, remain to be one of the most puzzling issues of solid state science.

Structure-property relations in Pb-supersaturated metastable Sn-rich Pb-Sn alloys
Abstract We have performed a theoretical study of three different allotropes of Pb-supersaturated Sn-rich Pb-Sn alloys with the α-Sn, β-Sn and a simple hexagonal γ-Sn structure employing quantum-mechanical calculations. Structure-property relations were analyzed in the case of the lattice parameters, thermodynamic stability, elastic ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

First-principle Study on Adsorption and Corrosion Behavior of O, Pb and Bi Atoms on SiC Surface
Lead-cooled fast reactor (LFR) is one of the most promising fourth-generation nuclear reactors. However, when the liquid metal coolant, lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE) is in contact with the structural materials in the reactor core, liquid metal atoms and ...
