Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Synthesizing Structuration and Institutional Theory: three cases

open access: yes, 2001
Research suggests that it is difficult to predict the influence of information technology (IT) on organizations. Using the structuration approach, theorists like Orlikowski suggest technology's effect is context dependent.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Dupla Hermenêutica no Campo da Gestão Social: Evidências Empíricas no Âmbito do Colegiado do Território da Cidadania Sertão de Minas

open access: yesDesenvolvimento em Questão, 2016
The phenomenon of double hermeneutics, which basically highlights the mutual interpretive interplay between social sciences and activities that constitute its “object” of study, is a central element in the discussions of the English sociologist Anthony ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

KEKERASAN SEKSUAL TELEVISI TERHADAP WANITA

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Sosial, 2016
The women’s violence issues is found in adult mass media. What kinds of women violence are found in a children’s televisin program in Indonesia. Gender structuration theory guided this research. It used critical discourse analysis.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic
