ESP, a structure synthesis program

Microprocessing and Microprogramming, 1992
Abstract In this paper we present the implementation of a silicon compiler which generates the layout of digital systems from their description at register transfer level. The system presented, called ESP, takes the RT level description, write in a Pascal-like language, and converts it into a circuit description in EDIF.

First Synthesis and Structure of a Tetraazasilafenestrane

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 1999
A shift from the computational to the synthetic side has taken place in the quest for compounds containing planar-tetracoordinate silicon: The first tetraazasilaspiro[4.4]nonane with two alkylene bridges has been prepared [Eq. (1)]. According to the X-ray structure analysis, the angle between the two diazasilacyclopentene rings is 84.7°.

Dextran: Structure and Synthesis

1961
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the structure and synthesis of dextran. The term “dextran” is used for a class of D-glucose polysaccharides produced by bacteria growing on a sucrose substrate. In this chapter, dextran will refer to those polysaccharides containing a backbone of D-glucose units linked predominantly α-D-(1→ 6).

Synthesis and structure of 2-pyransoylperimidines

Carbohydrate Research, 2011
The first examples of 2-pyranosylperimidines are reported. The β-d-glucopyranosyl nitrile oxide 5, generated by base-induced dehydrochlorination of the hydroximoyl chloride 4, reacted with 1,8-diaminonaphthalene to afford the 2-(β-d-glucopyranosyl)perimidine 8.

The Synthesis and Structure of Polyphosphazenes

1982
Abstract : The aim of this work was the design and synthesis of new polymers for membrane applications. Specific uses are anticipated in high oxygen transmission films with the exclusion of organic liquids or vapors; in membranes for the capture of toxic or radioactive metal ions; and in "smart" membranes where the permeability can be controlled by ...

A Germacalicene: Synthesis, Structure, and Reactivity

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2018
AbstractThe synthesis of the germacalicene 7 from the reaction of the dipotassium germole dianion K2[6] with 1,2‐bis‐diisopropylamino‐3‐chlorocyclopropenyl perchlorate is reported. Based on the crystal structure analysis and the results of DFT calculations, the germacalicene 7 can be viewed as a cyclopropenium germacyclopentadienide ylide that is ...

Iptycene Quinones:  Synthesis and Structure

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2004
A practical and efficient method to synthesize iptycene quinones has been developed. As a result, a series of pentiptycene quinones 8-16 were conveniently synthesized by one-pot reaction of triptycene quinone 4 or 5 with anthracene 1 or its derivatives 2-3 in refluxing acetic acid in the presence of p-chloranil, followed by CAN oxidative demethylation.

Synthesis of the proposed structure of phaeosphaeride A

Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2011
The first total synthesis of the proposed structure of phaeosphaeride A has been achieved via six-membered-ring formation by means of an intramolecular vinyl-anion aldol reaction as the key step. This synthesis suggests a revised configurational assignment for phaeosphaeride A.
