User's Guide for MUSOL2: A Package for Computing the Structured Singular Value or its Upper Bound.

open access: yes, 1988
The concept of structured singular value was introduced by Doyle [1] as a tool for the analysis and synthesis of feedback systems with structured uncertainties.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

On the enumeration of symmetric tridiagonal matrices with prescribed determinant over commutative finite chain rings

open access: yesSpecial Matrices
Determinants of structured matrices play a fundamental role in both pure and applied mathematics, with wide-ranging applications in linear algebra, combinatorics, coding theory, and numerical analysis.

Integrating Reinforcement Learning into M/M/1/K Retry Queueing Models for 6G Applications

open access: yesSensors
The ever-growing demand for sustainable, efficient, and fair allocation in the next generation of wireless network applications is a serious challenge, especially in the context of high-speed communication networks that operate on Terahertz frequencies ...

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Structured Singular Value and m-Form Numerical Range.

open access: yes, 1988
Although the question of the numerical evaluation of Doyle's structured singular value has been repeatedly addressed, it is not yet entirely resolved in the general case. It has been shown recently that this question can be reduced to that of iteratively

Role of Intrinsic Electron Trapping in Negative Charging of Amorphous Alumina

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intrinsic electron trapping in amorphous Al2O3 is examined using hybrid‐DFT models spanning a wide density range. Both spontaneous and thermally activated trapping are identified, with pronounced spontaneous localization in dense, partly crystallized structures.

Liquid Phase Transmission Electron Microscopy: A Window into the Early Stages of Complex Material Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,
