Subacute toxicity of apholate to the mature chicken

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1966
Abstract Apholate administered to mature chickens at varying levels in the diet from 500 to 5000 ppm produced a significant depression in reproductive performance. Fertility was completely depressed in both cocks and hens. Among males, semen volume, sperm concentration, and sperm motility were greatly depressed.

Evaluation of the subacute toxicity and teratogenicity of anatoxin-a

Toxicon, 1980
Abstract A sublethal dose in rats (i.p. and oral) had no effect on food consumption, growth, blood cells, serum enzymes or hepatic mixed function oxidase nor were morphological changes observed at necropsy. In hamsters there were no skeletal or soft tissue malformations, however, fetal stunting was observed.

Subacute oral toxicity of polyglycerol ester

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1971
Abstract Polyglycerol ester (DREWPOL 1 , deca-glycerol deca-oleate) was fed to rats at dietary levels of 2.5, 5.0, and 10% for 90 days. All animals appeared to be in excellent health throughout the study, and no adverse effects were found upon survival, growth, organ weights, organ: body weight ratios, and hematologic values.

Acute and subacute toxicity of isomalic acid

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1966
The acute and subacute toxicity of isomalic acid have been investigated in mice and rats to acquire preliminary information on its safety as acidulant. By the intraperitoneal route, the LD50 for mice is 1.40 g/kg, which is similar to that of citric acid.

Subacute toxicity of the mycotoxin cyclopiazonic acid

Food and Chemical Toxicology, 1984
Cyclopiazonic acid (CA) is known to contaminate processed foods, maize and peanuts. Since previously available toxicity data were limited to the effects of single doses, Wistar-derived rats were given weekly doses of 0, 12 or 21 mg CA/kg body weight in 1 N-sodium bicarbonate, using a dosage volume of 2.5 ml/kg body weight, and subgroups of eight were ...
