Postoperative Hypocalcemia Following Total Thyroidectomy Versus Completion Thyroidectomy
Completion thyroidectomy performed with at least a three‐month interval demonstrates superior parathyroid preservation compared to primary total thyroidectomy, as evidenced by significantly higher postoperative parathyroid hormone levels (51.90 ± 30.26 pg/mL vs. 30.90 ± 17.10 pg/mL, p = 0.006).

Factors Associated With Bilateral Involvement in Non‐Infectious Labyrinthitis: A Case–Control Study
Non‐infectious labyrinthitis may progress from unilateral to bilateral inner‐ear involvement, resulting in greater functional impairment. In this retrospective case–control study of 50 patients, younger age, female sex, and the presence of systemic disease were associated with bilateral involvement. These exploratory findings may help identify patients

Aspartic Protease Inhibition Induces Proteomic Remodeling in Paracoccidioides brasiliensis
ABSTRACT Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is a major systemic mycosis in Latin America caused by Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, yet the contribution of aspartic proteases to fungal physiology and pathogenicity remains poorly understood. Here, we employed data‐independent acquisition (DIA)‐based quantitative proteomics to investigate the impact of pepstatin

Subacute Vanadium Toxicity in Rats.
Subacute vanadium toxicity was investigated in rats. Female Wistar strain rats, weighing 180g (approximately 6 weeks old), were divided into three groups of seven each. They were fed a base diet with addition of various concentrations of vanadium (0, 50 or 100ppm) for 10 weeks.

Schematic illustration showing that Hinokitiol promotes neural repair after spinal cord injury by activating the Keap1/Nrf2/HO‐1 signaling pathway and reprogramming microglial inflammatory‐redox responses. ABSTRACT Secondary neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, driven partly by maladaptive microglial activation, limit recovery after spinal cord ...
