Ion–Dipole Interaction‐Driven Assembly of Silicate Cages

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
On the basis of ion–dipole interactions, silicate cages containing R[SiO4]− units can directionally bind K+ ions, thereby constructing frameworks with specific topologies. This strategy effectively addresses the challenges of strong solvation and non‐directional binding.

Facile Synthesis of 20‐nm‐Thick ZIF‐67 Films for Hydrogen Sieving Using β‐Co(OH)2 Precursor Nanosheets

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report that highly dispersed β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets (∼1‐nm‐thick) could be synthesized via a one‐pot reaction of ultradilute precursors (Co(NO3)2 + 2‐methyimidazole (HmIm) + H2O system) at room temperature in just 1 h. By using thin coatings of the as‐synthesized β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets as self‐sacrificial templates, ∼20‐nm‐thick ZIF‐67 membranes could ...

Modular Synthesis of Pyritide‐Inspired Macrocycles Featuring Bipyridine Motifs

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A pyritide‐inspired build/couple/pair strategy yields a diverse macrocycle library. This approach expands chemical space and enables the discovery of 6paW, a potent anti‐ferroptotic agent. Abstract Macrocycles represent a promising class of drug‐like scaffolds with unique structural features and the ability to engage challenging targets such as protein–

Pure Red Cell Aplasia Associated With Thymic Tumors, a Nationwide Retrospective Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) is the most frequent autoimmune cytopenia associated with thymic tumors (TTs). In a nationwide retrospective study, we included 41 patients (22 women, median age 62 years). At PRCA diagnosis, the mean hemoglobin level was 6.6 ± 2.1 g/dL, and the reticulocyte count was 6 ± 5 × 109/L. PRCA was diagnosed before TT (8%,

Establishment and molecular profiling of a PDX model of a metachronous brain tumor in a patient with constitutional mismatch repair deficiency with biallelic MSH6 variant

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A 6½‐year‐old girl was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, SHH activated, subtype 3 and TP53 mutant (somatic). After surgery and chemotherapy, she was monitored with quarterly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and remained free of disease for almost 4 years.
